Ceretone and Easter Seals Greater Houston: Helping Seniors Experience Hearing Technology and Shape the Future of Hearing Care

At Ceretone, launching a product is never the finish line.

Since introducing Core One Pro, we have continued improving the experience by listening to the people who use it. Customer feedback has helped us refine sound quality, improve comfort, and identify opportunities to make hearing technology easier to use.

That is how we believe great products are built: by listening, learning, and continuously improving.

But we also realized something important. The feedback we receive often comes from people who have already made the decision to try a hearing aid. While that feedback is incredibly valuable, it only tells part of the story.

Millions of seniors are still unsure whether hearing technology is right for them. They may have questions about how a hearing aid will feel, whether they can set it up themselves, whether it will work for their hearing needs, or whether the experience will be worth the investment.

To better understand those challenges, we wanted to hear directly from people who are at the beginning of their hearing journey.

Bringing Hearing Technology Into the Community

Ceretone is working with Easter Seals Greater Houston’s BridgingApps Program, Catholic Charities, and The AmeriCorps Seniors to bring Core One Pro to seniors in the Houston community.

Through this community initiative, seniors will have the opportunity to experience hearing technology in a supportive environment and provide honest feedback about their experience. Participants will share their thoughts on everything from setup and comfort to sound quality and everyday usability.

This is not about asking people to tell us what we want to hear. It is about understanding what works, what creates confusion, and what barriers may prevent someone from successfully using hearing technology.

The best insights often come from real-world experiences.

Why This Matters

Over-the-counter hearing aids have created a new opportunity for more people to access hearing care. However, technology alone is not enough. For many first-time users, the biggest challenges are confidence, understanding, and knowing where to begin.

A hearing aid needs to do more than amplify sound. It needs to fit into someone's life.

It needs to be easy to understand.

It needs to be comfortable.

It needs to feel approachable.

That is why listening to new users is so important. Their experiences help us identify where we can remove barriers and create a better experience for everyone.

A Shared Commitment to Helping Seniors

This initiative brings together organizations that share a common goal: helping seniors use technology with confidence.

Easter Seals Greater Houston, through its BridgingApps program, has extensive experience helping seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans become more comfortable using technology in their daily lives.

Catholic Charities and The AmeriCorps Seniors provide trusted connections within the community, helping bring new opportunities and resources directly to seniors who may benefit from them.

Together, these organizations are helping create an environment where seniors can explore hearing technology with support and confidence.

Turning Feedback Into Action

At Ceretone, we believe every experience is an opportunity to improve.

The feedback gathered through this initiative will help guide future improvements to Core One Pro, from simplifying the setup process to improving usability and creating a more intuitive experience.

The seniors participating in this initiative are not just trying a hearing aid. They are helping shape what comes next.

Their questions, challenges, and experiences will help us build better hearing technology for the future.

What This Means for You

You do not have to be part of this community initiative to benefit from what we learn.

Every insight helps us continue improving Core One Pro for current customers and future users.

Whether you are already using hearing technology or considering your first hearing aid, our goal remains the same: to make hearing care easier to access, easier to understand, and easier to use.

Because the future of hearing technology should be shaped by the people who need it most.
